Hello weavers and welcome to Groundweave!

We, Véronique and Lisa, have been writing patterns together for five years. As part of that, we’ve been having “textile talks” weekly via Zoom. The Groundweave blog was conceived as a public version of our musings. We attempted to create a “blogversation” but found the platform didn’t conform easily to a two-voice blog post. So we have decided to converse via independent posts, at least for now and until we get the platform to submit to our desires.

Much like how we write patterns, we will come up with the posts individually and talk about the weaving issues that interest us at the moment. Topics and content are free-form.  We are planning on posting monthly, so keep checking, and if you want to be notified, click subscribe in the footer of this post.
